Police Department Pre-Screening Application

You must meet the following general requirements to be considered for employment:

Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
Must be at least 21 years of age. 
Must have a high school diploma or GED.
Must have successfully completed the Basic Peace Officers Course (if applying for Police Officer).
Never had a military court martial that resulted in a dishonorable or bad conduct discharge.
Stable credit history and work history. 
Possess current Texas driver's license and proof of insurance. 
Pass all phases of testing and background check. 
No convictions of a Class A misdemeanor or above. 
No Class B convictions in the last 10 years. 
No More than 3 Class C misdemeanors in the last 5 years.
No convictions of family violence. 
No more than 1 motor vehicle accident in the last 3 years.
No or 'No Insurance' convictions or had a Driver License Suspensions in the last 5 years.
